In
order to mitigate potential negative impacts from
aircraft operations and enhance compatibility
with the surrounding communities, Stafford Regional
Airport maintains a proactive noise abatement
program which includes requested noise abatement
operating procedures for aircraft operating to
and from the Airport.
The Stafford Regional Airport’s Fly Friendly
program focuses on pilot education and cooperation.
The departure and arrival procedures described
in this program are derived from noise abatement
procedures published by the Federal Aviation Administration.
Compliance with the noise abatement procedures
is requested unless deviations are made necessary
by weather, Air Traffic Control (ATC) instructions
or clearances, and in-flight emergency or other
safety considerations.
The Stafford Regional Airport Fly Friendly program
applies ONLY to aircraft operating to and from
the Stafford Regional Airport. It does not apply,
nor does it govern, military, commercial or civilian
aircraft over-flying or operating in the Airport’s
vicinity.
